Is it weird that I always thought Croc was hot? Even when I first saw him in the Animated Batman series, when he was grey and all that. And especially in The Batman too.

Do you have an idea for your version of his origin? Because if you don't, then I have an idea for where you can base it off of. Do you know his Arkhamverse origin?

alexwarlorn [2017-06-19 05:36:15 +0000 UTC]

There was apparently a what-if story were Batman chose to be a psychologist rather than Batman... and actually managed to nearly get through to Croc purely by treating him like a human being!Β

One thing I'm curious about: this file mentions Cros has "Class IV enhanced strength". How does your rating system work exactly? Specifically, how does Croc's levels compare to someone of, say, Superman's caliber?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to Xemnas4 [2017-05-13 15:33:20 +0000 UTC]

Superman is a Class VIII (in Earth-27) in terms of strength. It's not a linear scale, it's exponential.
So, Class I is just above that of an Olympic weightlifter. The human maximum, around half a ton or 1000 lbs.
Class II is where you can easily lift a few tons. Class III can easily lift a dozen to three dozen tons.
Class IV can lift between fifty and a hundred tons.
Class V can lift up to two hundred tons.
Class VI can lift up to three hundred tons.
Class VII (Wonder Woman's level) can lift up to four hundred tons.
Class VIII can lift up to five hundred tons with exertion.
Class IX is anything over Class VIII but has some sort of known limit.
Class X is anything that appears to have no measureable limit.

Five hundred pounds with exertion? That doesn't make any sense. In my own research into our Man of Steel, I've found a training record of him lifting two hundred *quintillion* tons, with one hand. Granted, it took some exertion but still, damn!

amethystangel228 In reply to sonicspeedster92 [2017-11-06 15:50:04 +0000 UTC]

Five hundred TONS, dude, not pounds.
He can lift 1,000,000 POUNDS with exertion.
Pretty sure that's impressive enough.

sonicspeedster92 In reply to amethystangel228 [2017-11-06 23:24:01 +0000 UTC]

Uh dude, 200 *quintillion*! That's twenty zeroes!

Roysovitch In reply to sonicspeedster92 [2017-11-06 23:32:57 +0000 UTC]

I saw an issue where Superman moved the Earth. Strength needed to do that would require 25 zeroes.
Doesn't make it any more awesome, in fact I think it makes the character ridiculous.
In Earth-27, his strength is much more manageable at 100 tons (this list is old) and even then that is more than he ever really needs to use.
Also, don't disrepect others or you'll find yourself banned again, dude

amethystangel228 In reply to sonicspeedster92 [2017-11-06 23:28:22 +0000 UTC]

I was correcting you, because you misread the number as pounds and not tons.Β
I'm also talking Earth-27, not DC standard. As this is a talk about the E27 version of the character, that's the version that should be discussed.
Please also don't forget that Roy is trying to make the characters a bit more reasonable in their power levels too.Β

I don't even know what the hell you are trying to say... But what I think you're doing is bitching about Superman's strength(?) and forgetting that this is Earth-27.

Croc can manage between 50-100 tons?? Yikes.

That's like maximum, ideal circumstances, adrenaline, and all that. Normally, he doesn't exert himself that much.
