Joker killed the Second Robin. What came back to life was not Jason Todd.Β

Totally understandable. I really like the idea of Jason having a sidekick because it adds more layers to his character, giving him a sense of responsibility to balance out all his angst and rage.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to ImdaBatman [2016-03-16 15:31:23 +0000 UTC]

Yep. Though on Earth-27, Bruce wasn't crippled... He was just beaten to within an inch of his life and needed a long recovery.
I don't like the idea that everyone can just magically recover from spinal damage. Cheapens Oracle if everyone can recover from that sort of injury.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse? So if Jason is the Third Horseman, and I'm guessing the Joker and Bane and First and Second Horsemen respectively... Β  Β who is the Fourth?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to Narnil [2016-02-14 11:33:12 +0000 UTC]

First- Unrevealed
Second- Bane
Third- Jason Todd
Fourth- Unrevealed

The first was designed to test Batman psychologically.
The second to test him physically.
The third emotionally.
The fourth to destroy and replace him.

Okay. I'll watch this space. And I like the idea the fourth is meant to not only replace but destroy him, because in Revelation the fourth horseman is followed by Death incarnate.

Well even in the comics, you come back temporarily unstable after using the pit, ESPECIALLY post-mortem. And going into it completely healthy makes it like acid.

...That would make sense

According to the lore, the only way to cure it is to kill the person who killed you before

Shadow-DJ In reply to MagicDetective [2016-02-17 00:36:48 +0000 UTC]

Maybe that could be something Roy could do here as well? XP I don't mind sharing that bit.

Plus it does make sense, there IS insaity involved wtih the Pit The bloodlust can juts be part of it. AND maybe the thing JAson could do in Gotham, since h is mostly with Bruce again, is learning to control it so that way he doesn't kill...

SINCE I also found out something interesting: Batman won't kill Joker because...

Killing him would be MERCIFUL.

I mean given that all Joker did...just killing him won't make him really pay for his rimes in Batman's eyes, given he is kinda an atheist in some comics ;;;

I just wanna say this sounds almost like Bucky's story as the Winter Soldier in a way long dead friend and sidekick killed only to comeback by a secret order to try and kill his former friend and mentor, yeah you so added a bit of Bucky in there with Jason. Here is a journal series I do called versus with just these two fighting you andΒ phil-cho Β should check it out and enjoy man it let's creative minds blow up with the thoughts of who would win.Β z-lord.deviantart.com/journal/…

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to Z-Lord [2016-02-13 06:02:41 +0000 UTC]

Though there are similarities, the truth is that I took elements from Jason's own comic book history and the Batman mythos itself to tell this story. I did not pull from the Winter Soldier. Granted, I acknowledge there are similarities, but you can probably draw parallels to both characters with classic literature such as The Count of Monte Cristo.

Jason is DC's answer to the Winter Soldier which makes him cool. He better get his own movie.
