Yeah I did the vein displacement a little strong lol.

No, I like it! It's different from an eye patch or a scar across the face or something. I don't normally see the vein as a distinguishing facial feature. It's cool.

argh, I want to know about your characters. where can I? I must learn about all the hawtness! lol

btw.. how did you get the 'glow' around him?

Rozbeans In reply to Kilandranet [2011-04-29 18:11:20 +0000 UTC]

Oh these are guys I've written about over on www.sanguineaffliction.com and www.theangrycrayon.com/chronicles.

The glow is a simple photoshop trick: blending options/outer glow with subtle settings and matching background color

Thanks! I am going to read your stories hehe

so with the photoshop thing, how do you get him seperate? Do you highlight him by hand, or is there a rendering trick to getting people on transparent backgrounds? (Man I'd so love that if that were true lol)

Rozbeans In reply to Kilandranet [2011-05-01 05:31:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh when I render, I don't render with a background. That way he's on his own separate layer and you can do whatever you want with just him. Cutting him out would be a pain and extremely tedious. I also save the render as a png, too - higher resolution and junk.

omg I did not know you could do that *just audibly squeeled* I have been hand cutting people out LOL !!!! It's been driving me nuts, or I render them in as close to a setting/background as I like, but sometimes you just want the person, you know? GAH! how do you render without a background? teach me, oh wise one!

Rozbeans In reply to Kilandranet [2011-05-02 16:04:30 +0000 UTC]

You know I have no idea. I just set the background to black (always) and save as a .png. I use photoshop and it always shows up as a transparent background. Give that a try, when you're saving, remember to save as a png.
