5 down, 1 more to go...If I can describe Air!Onua in the best way, he's basically a stereotypical Uncle. While he can have his wise moments, he's mostly fun loving and active. His personality can range from useful wisdom to absolute ridiculous humor. His claws are used to cut through brush instead of dirt. One fun fact here, because of his brute-like nature, his air attacks are much harsher than what the original Lewa had. Reason being, he's such a big guy and he needs a lot of power from the air to keep him standing. I'm very surprised I managed to work his old design to a Le-Matoran look. I was basically changed one ethnicity with stand out looks to the complete opposite. If you saw my Matoran Ethnicity chart, then you'd know what I'm talking about. But I'm happy with his design here!
All that's left is Gali, and you can guess what element she's going to be!

I really like his sort of "Zen" look he has to him, Onua totally fits the role of being that spiritually connected individual, for sure!!

I like that. But I have never seen Onua depicted like that. But oooooh how I like that idea. The only one I can really see as that kind of character would be his 2015 incarnation,but this guy is a Mata.
Now you really make me wish to see the Metru with either the same elements changed,or their own elements completely thrown around........Because I can't help but feel that zooming in on a blazing fire wouldn't be smart choice for Nuju.

I've always though of Onua as either the big brother or Uncle of the group. He's basically the oldest and wisest. But Idk, I'm not so attached to Onua as I am to Kopaka.
Oh no, the Toa Metru will have different element changes, that's for sure. Fire will be for a different Toa, that's for sure.

Yeah,that would be beyond funny and badass.
Maybe because I only ever read about four issues of the Mata Nui saga,and only really saw Onua through either The Game or The Movie,I always saw him as a bit of a brutish buissness man. The kind that would sell rocks for golds value and prove their value by punching them. IDK,I personally love the Onu-Koro scene where Onua is introduced because he seems like such a buissness man.
So.....Anyway,I would guess that Air!Onua is both a bit of an advisor to Water!Tahu,but also the one to reel him back in when he has ridden enough of the river. Aswell as the guy who would probably make Fire!Kopaka just stop and take a breath every once in a while.
Good. I was expecting something like that.
But that also makes me wounder,if you are going to keep the vision element of the team,is it going to whoever gets fire or will it go to Vakama and just have another reason for them?

Eh, from what I've read in the books, he is very brutish. In terms of being a business man, I think a better term would be convincing. I mean, even in the first book, Kopaka was a bit intimidated by him, so Onua is a pretty negotiable guy. But, yet again, I haven't read too much on Onua. I feel as though sometimes the poor guy is just pushed aside. Maybe in this new generation he'll get a bit more of a spotlight. (I mean, he has to, the guy snores. How wouldn't that get the attention of others)?
Heh, that'd be pretty funny to see Air!Onua acting jolly and giving "pro-tips" to Water!Tahu. But yeah, he'd also have to keep an eye on the little guy. Pretty much, he's a mellow guy, but that doesn't mean he can't have fun once or twice... or thrice...
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you talking about Mask Powers? If so, mask powers stay with each Toa; Pohatu will still have speed, Lewa will still have levitation, etc., etc.

Oh,okay.....Yeah,I can see that being a case. And it sounds as if he never really got any focus on him either. But now,snores are bound to grab people's attention.
Yeah,I can see that to,all while trying to get Ice!Pohatu to be more soft like snow,rather then hard like ice and being a steady hand for Lewa and probably be the most mentoring on him.
I realised that,but I was talking more about Vakama's visions.Will they stay with him even if he changes element,or will the visions go to whoever gets the element of fire? That was what I meant to ask.

Oh, -baps self on the head- silly me. Yeah, they still have their same roles in the story, including Vakama having his visions. (Except when they become Turaga, they'll belong to their own elemental tribe. Not like Vakama is Tahu's Turaga, that'll be changed). The only changes this AU makes is with their elements and slight personality changes. Other than that, you still have a pretty parallel story telling.

Oh,okay.That was what I wanted to know. Hmmm......But what element would still fit for Vakama getting visions? Ice so that when he gets them,people don't see him as crazy as they normally would considering that the Ko-Metru-matorans were sorta known as fortune tellers,or Air to make them think that the visions are just his overactive imagination from all the high speed velocity,or Earth to make it more clashing with an archevist......IDK,this sort of AU make sso many things possible.
(And that part would be obvious)

Origionally, I was thinking Vakama would be swapped with Air. Then his sudden personality change from 04-05 would make more sense. Combining it with his overactive imagination would make it perfect!

Are you going to do them in both Metru and Hordika,or are you just going to mention how their slighlty/or not so slightly/changed personalities were changed even more by the Hordika venom?

While it sounds like Air!Vakama would be a completely different person from his Fire!equivilent,maybe it is because of varied views on the character,or Air!Vakama really would be completely different from Fire!Vakama. And while I can see him as more of daredevil in Air,I can't see him with Matau's arrogance.

Just Metru, the only thing the Hordika venom did was emphasize their feral side.
Yeah, I can't see Matau's arrogance in him, but this is what I created the swapped!AU for, TO CHALLENGE OURSELVES!! Perhaps instead of making Air!Vakama a copy of Matau, maybe have him keep his stern attitude, but a bit more free with his opinions instead of keeping the angst inside himself. Instead of telling Nokama, "I'm not going to be your leader, you do it." It might be, "You mind getting off my case? Look, I see what you're trying to do, but you're not getting to me. Besides, you used to be a teacher, a born leader. Why don't you lead this team instead?"

Hmm.....I can defintively see that. That would really work for him actually. Instead of letting the problems stay and grow inside,he brings up the problem as soon as it is there,but because he didn't mull it over and angst about it a bit,he brings up the problem,without a really solid solution.
And you just made me realise,are the Metru's specialities going to be switched with the toa,or will the Ta's still be mask makers,the Le's inventors,Ko's fortune tellers and ece ece.....Because if they don't,then Nokama wouldn't be a teacher.......But I think she would fit in the Onu-Metru archives. Both Whenua and Nokama are similair in that they are the brainiacs of the team that dosen't let their brains show to much. That is atleast some of the impressions I have gotten from Ko-Metru. That they are all brainiacs,but they are to techno-babbly and scientific.....But somehow,I can't see anyone else but Whenua taking Nokama's place as a teacher,while Nokama,I can somehow see in Po-Metru,or as I stated earlier,Onu-Metru.
And now I almost want to ask if you would switch the elements of some of the evil teams,like the Piraka or Barraki?

It's the same thing with the villains. I'll figure it out later, my main focus is with the Mata and Metru now. XD

Yeah,I get you,The Bohrok,Rahkshi and Vahki,while good threats,don't make very different if their elements or abilities were thrown around a bit.
