I hope I didn 't do anything wrong... It is saved as gif and it is only 140px wide. The maximum is 150px. And I put it in the right category.
Perhaps we have to enable something to use larger emoticons?

Hmm... I haven't a clue.
I haven't even tried to upload any emoticons, though I might in the future. I'm sure everyone would love to have a grumpy Nord emoticon!
