InformationSo, some backstory: I have a sleeping disorder, so my sleep schedule is 180 degrees reversed right now. Day is night, night is day, backward. I got camping coming up for the holiday weekend, I'd like to see the sun during it, so I'm doing that brilliant, works-a-quarter-of-the-time method of staying up a day past your bedtime to force-reverse my sleep schedule back to normal-ish. To keep my sorry ass awake, and because I had random muse and need money cuz my commission addiction ate my wallet, I was doing adoptables... and then I got sick of brainstorming adopt concepts, so boom, new idea: do some quicksale designs! No brainstorming, plenty of doodling. Because my quicksales tend to be, well, not quick if I do them at regular price, I discounted by 50%-75% and offered them for $5 a pop, and took 2 on. The first one got paused because the client went to sleep, so I put my focus on the second order, and thus this came to be.

7 hours later.

It is done! I am happy with it even if I still can't believe how much time was spent on it. But hey, it did keep me awake, to be fair. And of course, the fact that it is for the marvelous, talented, and ever-so-kind Rhiaan doesn't hurt, either! She put up with my barrage of questions and rambling so I could sort out what she liked. The only thing she absolutely wanted was gold. She also brought up fantasy, unique horns, wings, lots of jewelry, and told me about this pretty mare's royal blood. I know, I know, gold again, Brady? But the client gets what the client wants and the artist feeds his gold obsession, so hush.

Fun fact about this, the first concept I tried was a sort of roan look but with fantasy-saturated gold and red... it looked like a strawberry. Like a full-on, walking equine strawberry. And if that sounds like it might be cool, let me tell you, it was not. It was not at all.
