Completely digital, no scanning at all... I was just playing with my (then new) digital pen, and I accidentally finished this picture, with funky use of textures (no visible tiling!!!). This is one of the reddest pics I've ever done (and there are quite a few of them).. By the way, this guy is a 12' tall anthropomorphic dragon with pyrokinesis, not any normal dragon (if those things exist).Related content

I've had this favorited for years, but I'm just now commenting on it. ...Go me.
This is, as everyone else has put it, quite amazing. Perhaps it's just me, but seeing the time this was completed (2000, if I'm not mistaken?) just adds to the wonder of the picture - I wasn't aware Photoshop was quite as advanced then, but hell, I'm no artist.
I've always interpreted what he was doing with his hand as some sort of "motion" to actually start the fire in the background.
It's a shame the image is so small for a wallpaper - but I can't fault you for that, given its age (1024x768 was a lot back then, if I remember correctly.). Ah well.
All in all, a wonderful piece. I'm surprised it hasn't been DDed yet.

I made this before I has a scanner or a wacom tablet. The lines were made with the insane curve tool in MS paint!
