Description Week 2's brief was to design a member of a Na'vi tribe from the movie Avatar. This is my submission, a Na'vi Archer.

UPDATED: Tried to balance the character, per Wildweasel339's suggestion.

hello, nice concept!, but if he is a Na'vi, he must have only four fingers, otherwise he is an avatar

Thank-you! I did not know the Na'vi only had four fingers! Haha!

It often seems like full-body standing poses like this are the most difficult.  Perhaps because there isn't an environment to work with.
It's important to get a solid sense of balance in the pose. Decide which leg is supporting the most weight, or if it's evenly distributed to both. Right now, it's not very clear.   This is something you have to establish in the gesture, before adding any details.

When drawing poses like this, I like to constantly reference Andrew Loomis: wildeny.files.wordpress.com/20…educacionartisticaeo.files.wor…lifedrawing.kitseaton.com/wp-c…

Sometimes it's best to do the concept design on a flat-standing pose, before redrawing it on a more interesting pose.  This way you don't have to think about design and worry with the pose at the same time.

Thank-you for the feedback, Wildweasel339. Balance is something I continue to struggle with, but the elongated figure of a Na'vi only made this worse for me. I appreciate the resources and taking the time to help me out. I will investigate and try to correct this image.

Updated the image. It feels better, but I'm not 100% sure that it's actually correct.
