This is supposed to be a Mayan girl from Mesoamerica. It's been a while since I've drawn a full frontal, so after a friend suggested it, I decided to bust it out. Anyways, kinda imagine yourself exploring the deep jungles of Central America and coming across this Mayan maiden. Who knows what strange customs her people have!?!?! I gave her, or at least tried to draw, some jade bracelets on her arms, a jade belly button ring, a small jade stud in her nose, and some shinning stone necklace thing. I really like how this turned out. I didn't want to give her too many piercings, or any tattoos or what not, because 1), I find them to be just a bit disgusting, 2) because I didn't want to overload her with stuff. I know they say that, as a Mayan woman, she would be more dressed than this, but considering how hot it was in her climate this is more appropriate. AND since she's only wearing a loincloth it'll make delivering the baby safer.

i think your shading is incredible and your attention to detail is mouth-watering (for an obsessive like me anyway XD)
great work, this would look awesome with a background and colour... but that's always a next step isn't it XD

Well, the thing with backgrounds is they take a ton of time and patience. And unfortunately patience is a rare resource for me lol. As for coloring, I enjoy my graphite pencil ones, I've been in the mood to do some lately. I did however, consider maybe just putting in some line art background, no shading to it, just like some trees and massive plant matter.

Same here. The human sacrifice scene was one of the epic scenes, as well as the chase through the jungle

Looks great! Well done. The right thumb looks to be a bit too long compared to the rest of her fingers, however overall it looks great and is a good change of pace for your drawing.
I especially like the hair going down her back.
