Description
Cue the classic "What Is A Man" dialog.
Anyway, this is an idea I had for a long time now. This wasn't exactly how I visioned it back then, but it works well.
I was going to give Treex a whip in my last ref pic as his main weapon, but in the end I decided not to. It's really a bitch to draw (as you can tell by how I cut corners there).
Special guest star as Dracula.

I probably would have had the same problem when drawing things like whips and cables. At least you have the thought of cutting those corners.

It's mainly because while lining, I do it fast and I have to repeat many times to get the curve I want. Drawing curves next to each other with perfect distance is a pain.

One thing that I'm surprised at and wasn't mentioned here was the style emulation of your friend's vampire Yoshi character. You practically took it and made it your own, crafting a distinctively sweet rendition. Not to mention, all the usual details are in place along with the slick shadowing methods. Even the composition arrangement is smart and spooky!

A Dracula-ish Yoshi and a Belmont-ish Treecko makes a perfect Castlevania....ish story.
I never played the games myself. I've watched my brother play the original NES version though.
It seems like a super challenging adventure.

My brother really had difficulty finishing the NES game (note that it's on the Wii via the Wii Shop Channel).
He liked the game, but it took him so long to make it through. He got plenty discouraged along the way. I remember watching him finally reach Dracula and finish of that devil!
