I hope you stay out of the insomnia area; I used to have it in the beginning of college and it was terrible!! Like, I couldn't even take naps ever.
I find that drinking a lot of tea before I go to bed helps me. When did you get out of having insomnia? Was this recent?

I got out of it this year... It's really weird because you would think that I would panic more my senior year but no. I mean I still panic but I just don't care about everything so much that it haunts me when I sleep... bedtime tea definitely helps, so dose melatonin... but the most helpful thing ever is just relaxing and not be so stressed out for a little while.

See that's the exact same thing I was doing my senior year. But in my first year of college I choked a little and got uber-stressed. I had to get counseling for all the emotional stress that were caused by school stress and I just about failed my first semester here. Luckily my GPA isn't irreparable but if it stays where it's at I'll get the boot.
I blame my classes for that, I was taking 17 credits which I didn't know what a lot for a freshman at the time. Well the classes were all heavy reading and writing and essay classes too so that didn't help at all. This semester though I'm taking much easier courses and just 4 at that so I don't get overwhelmed like last semester. I'll tell you though I was so stressed I snapped and I refused to get out of bed for a good two weeks which is prolly how I failed all my exams after that (because I wasn't there to get the teaching and stuff).
Don't be like me, fan. Take it slow in college.

Thanks for the advice! Sorry that first semester didn't go too well for you. But it's all better now, right? Freshmen year never counts for anything anyways!

Lol it will count if I get suspended haha. It hurts my financial aid. Plus I need at least a 2.0 GPA to be able to to the next thing on my list which is transferring from the LSA into the Art Schools because I think I'm going to go with art from now on and be an art student. Though I really really really am disappointed that the professors here don't really.... teach. They'll say things that are just passages out of a textbook and then expect us to know how to do the problems when they don't elaborate on anything. At least that's how ALL of my classes this year have felt like. I could just go on forever about the professors couldn't really answer any questions and their little GSI teacher assistants didn't really explain that much either. I've noticed that it's standard here to have tutors for almost every class just to pass or to even understand the class at all which is baffling to me, considering I'm used to the whole 'teachers explain erything' kind of thing at Cranbrook.
Fan, don't come to my college haha, unless you're good at learning completely on your own. I can barely handle this myself.

I wish my insomnia would come tumbling down.
I really love this.
