Description This is Freddie Highmore from Finding Neverland, after his mother's funeral. Such a great movie but so very sad! I just wanted to jump into the TV and hug him until everything was better.

This was the first time I tried to do a portrait with harder pencils. It was great because it allowed me to capture the soft effect of his skin. The dimples on his cheeks that create the crying effect were insane to draw!

80lb paper and H-3H graphite pencils. I used 2B pencils for his collar, for texture.

This is so beautiful! I love the brightness and depth of his eyes and the texture of his face...what a great drawing!

Isn't he adorable? I wonder what he'll look like as he gets older ... do you think his ears will still stick out wonderfully like they do now? And yes, he does play such emotional characters - it's crazy to think that a little boy can do all that. Have you seen August Rush? It's another of his and soooo wonderful!

I agree! The part when his parents come at the end makes me want to cry. Also, John Rhys-Myers is fun to watch ... I don't know if he actually can play the guitar ... that would be amazing! That would mean he's not even from this planet, he's from the Planet of Talent because it's insane for one little boy to be so crazy-good!

It is amazing how the whole family is talented. I like how the mom is more classical and the dad is more rock-and-roll. Then their son is a mix!
