Kili ///
Olvaar
It had been many summers and winters since the unlikely friends of Olvaar the Tempest and Kili the trouble maker had first met and become friendly rivals upon the practicing of their very first howls. The years had done much for and against each of them, shaping them to the strong Felvargs they were today. Olvaar in particular had grown even more wild and rough around the edges as he took it upon himself to live a more challenging life and purpose: keeping a watchful gaze upon Helheim's Gate.
Like his friend Olvaar, Kili too had grown. Though not as fiercly wild as his silver counterpart, Kili had traveled about Ulfrheim doing what he could and liked. Though he was generally kind and helpful, his outgoing and sometimes reckless personality often got him into trouble, most notably contributing to the nickname "the trouble maker" many referred to him as instead of his name.
It was once again a calm and peaceful day they met upon, as during the wilder weather Olvaar usually tried to stay closer to the gate than usual, to keep his keen eye upon it. The two were walking upon the shores of Lake Lysa, sharing stories and keeping eachother up to date on the happening which happened in their different walks of the world of Ulfrheim.
Though the day was peaceful the waters of the lake were unusually turbulent, and as the two rounded towards a clear patch on the beach, the sound of wild splashing and the cries of two young Felvarg pups reached their ears. Immediately both bounded quickly to the shore nearest the young ones.
Kili leapt into the water a moment before Olvaar did after doffing the horn and pelt he kept strapped to his neck. On most days Olvaar would give the pups a chance to prove their strength by saving themselves, but today the waters were threatening to swallow them up as if it were Hongerige itself.
The strong Felvarg quickly swam out to the struggling pups, Kili quickly taking the one who seemed to be the weaker of the pups before a mere moment later Olvaar took hold of the other. Though the waters seemed to almost hunger for them, the four made it safely and swiftly to the shore.
Though the pups each had caughed up some water and shivered in fright and cold at the harrowing experience, they seemed as if they would be fine.
Making sure both pups were healthy and no longer in danger the friends stood over them as they caught their breath on the dry land. The duo assured the frazzled pups that they were now safe and the two would make sure they safely got back to their parents, each feeling that paternal tinge of responsibility for the younglings.
After the little ones seemed in better spirits, the four slowly made their way north and east to the village of Sandfell where the pups' parents lived. Following the happy reunion each pup had with their parents, the friends silently made their way out of the village and once more parted ways, though each had been struck with that spark of paternal yearning now knowing the satisfaction and wholeness of caring for the young.
