I'd like to say I'm delighted to find some find some fan art from Guy's work; even more so with the great book, Tigana! Wonderful work, you've made my day.

I'm glad to have made your day
I don't understand why there's not more art from Kay's works either. Like you said, it's not like he doesn't give vivid descriptions of characters in his books.
My favorite is Tigana (I've probably read it at least a dozen times) followed by The Finavar Tapestry, A Song for Arbonne and The Lions of Al-Rasan -- although I really like his latest Ysabel a lot too.

Yes! Tigana and Ysabel have to be two of my favorite books I've ever read - although I've got to get my hands on A Song for Arbonne and The Lions of Al-Rasan. I'm currently reading The Last Light of the Sun, and am enjoying it profusely.

I liked The Last Light of the Sun very much also, I can just picture Stellan Skarsgard playing the part of Thorkell Einarson.

I just finished "Tigana" for the first time a couple days ago. It's exceptional, and I too am curious as to why there isn't more artwork devoted to it around here. Kay offered more than enough visuals to work with.

I like your Alessan very much.

Thank you very much.
I still find it curious that there isn't more artwork based on all Kay's works, not just Tigana.

I'm suprised that so... well, experienced women like you still read the fantasy and draws charakters from them - but's the only thing, what can I say is "Long live and don't allow your passion to die"
The work itself is very good. In fact I'am here becouse I'm looking for Tigana fan arts, and this is one of only two which I found on Deviantart... sad, one of the best fantasy book and so little talented fans...
Hope to see more from you about Tigana

Wow, you're the second person in less than a day to comment on this pic. The last comment, prior to yours and ~JackTHorn s was back in April of 2004!!
Tigana is my favorite book by one of my favorite authors. The only two books by him that I haven't read more than once were Sailing to Sarantium, and Lord of Emperors -- although his writing was wonderful, as usual, the subject matter didn't much appeal to me The Finavar Tapestry is also a personal favorite.
I don't ever remember a time when I wasn't an avid lover of fantasy -- back to when I was a little kid and thrilled to things like Disney's Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. If you browse my gallery you'll find LOTS of fantasy artwork, including a couple of short stories. So it's not likely I'll ever stop doing fantasy art while I'm still able to do so.
Thank you very, very much for the on this piece -- you are the first and only one to do so.

As I said in my comments it's probably my very favorite by Kay. Have you read Ysabel yet?

No, I haven't. Is it as good as Tigana? Hard to imagine...

It's a departure from most of his other stuff in that it's set in the modern day world, but there's lots of mysticism and magic in it -- and also a very intriguing mystery. I found it very enjoyable and am considering rereading it now that it's been a couple of months since I purchased it. I'm sort of eager to find things I missed the first run through. I do recommend it if you like Kay.

It's disadvantage over the books store is you can't really browes. But if you have an author, you like, or have a specific book, it's great. I've used it about 20 times with no problems. I even found a book out of print that completed a series for me. Was so happy.
