I wish I could take responsibility for their expressions but that's how the program model renders although I understand that dolphins look like they're smiling anyway. I think that's one of the reasons people are so attracted to them.
I'm very glad you like this one. It's one of my personal favorites of all the 3D images I've done. I even made it into a wallpaper (computer, not physical walls unfortunately) and submitted it at my wallpaper account *kabegami . It's the one that has received the most s there and which, by the way, I thank you for on this piece as well

I've just recently discovered I can change the colors of things -- like lights -- in the 3D graphics program I've been using so I'm doing lots of experimental stuff with it
