Description
In the mythology and folklore of several countries, there is the legend of the selkie, a magical creature which is human on land, a seal in the ocean. In these stories, the key to the transformation is the skin of a seal, without which the selkie could not take its seal form and would be trapped on land. Here, a selkie emerges from the waves, sealskin draped over herself as she transforms.
