Done in acrylics. As usual, I hate the scan.
I've had the plan for this one for a looooong while, but I finally had the impetus to sit down and vent it. Poor Tigerlily, I still only paint her when I'm upset.
Sorry to the couple people whose messages I'm completely failing to respond to, it's just been... it's just been.
why couldn't i just have this one goddamn thing that made me just a little bit happy?

Just sort of... oozes sadness. Even before you really catch the details. But the details too - her body language all pointing inward, distant stare - it's lovely.

My favorite part of this one is still the way the water falls from her leg. This painting was exactly what I wanted it to be, which is rare and really fulfilling.

DANG girl! this picture is truly amazing! the water effects/coloring are just so beautiful and the shading on her robe are just glorious. This picture is just so... cold. It's super hot here right now yet I can almost feel a chill of this through the screen.

I love this piece so much, it may be one of my favourite pieces you've done lately. The water is so beautifully done, as is the sky, all the colours are just so soothing and soft. The look on Tigerlily's face is absolutely haunting, everything about this piece just speaks to me.
I just wish this didn't have to come from such a place of pain, and I hope you'll find some peace and joy soon

It does seem to be a surprisingly good combination, you have a lot of absolutely gorgeous paintings that seem to match that description. And yeah, I guess it's at least something, when I'm feeling emotional distress I'm only destructive, so I can only wish I could turn it into lovely artwork instead
