even the stars can grow coldI don't know what that's from but it's on my inspiration folder and it kept running through my head while I was painting this.

Aghhhh this.
I'm really happy about this. Painting the wings felt like stained glass. There's nothing resembling a consistent light source in those folds but I don't care because I love them. The chains are the one thing that didn't really work out as well as in the sketch, but I was running very low on patience by that point because I really wanted to just finish this before school started and I don't have time to paint anymore.
There were so many adventures during this, haha. I dipped my paintbrush in my tea, I spilled water on it (and my laptop :c), I WATCHED SEASON THREE OF SHERLOCK which is apparently not good for painting because it's very distracting.
ANYWAY. This is for my art trade with Entitaria , of her character from this beautiful image , and I used this magnificent stock image (by MariaAmanda and Jan Holte Teller ) as a reference.
Done in acrylics! And sharpie for the swirlies.
