Description I started to get more comfortable over Trevor once we got to the sequel. That still doesn't mean I'm not experimenting here and there with different techniques and tools, but that I have the confidence now to know I can handle these pages in a number of ways with a number of tools.

On this stuff I really am trying to ink like I'm penciling, lots of side-o-the-brush and brush scrubbing. I have been having fun letting the brush get a little dry and decide it's own lines in spots, while in other areas I go overly soppy brush, while still doing a few slicker bleeds here and there.

Amazing job on the coat fur of the girl on the last panel! Beautiful inks, like in the old golden days of comic book strips.

I am going for a modern version of old Frazetta/Wood strip inks. It's kinda all about speed really.

Yeah, it shows. Nice one.

Crosshatching requires a lot of practice and skill, I tend to phuck up my crosshatches when inking, so I go for pure lines often. But I am always amazed at the inks of Frazetta, Wood, Buscema, Foster, Kubert, Hogarth, Kieth, Williamson, Schultz or Wrightson.

You gotta practice hatching on scratch paper, not on an illustration. Just create multiple hatch patches and just do hundreds to thousands of practice hatches. Then move on to hatching rocks and bricks then bigger forms and so on and so forth. Blah blah blah.
