I think you overworked this a ton, it would have looked a lot better if you hadn't added all the unnecessary stuff at the end. I don't really understand what you where trying to do with the brighter colors there at the end. You had a nice pallet going and you kinda fucked it up. But this painting has some nice atmosphere in 4 and 5. I think you lost that in 6 because of sloppy over-detailing on the moon and the bubbles. I think you might want too keep the boats but paint them a little less saturated. Overall, I don't think this is that great with the way you took it.

I agree, there's just too much going on in the water here. Β He needs to get rid of some of those ripples and stop the overdetailing on this one. Β It just doesn't look much like what a body of water should look like. Β Kind of a bad tutorial of sorts for people actually wanting to understand the process of drawing a body of water.

Uh no, it's just a basic observation. Β There are people who are actually trying to better their abilities looking for step by steps like this. Β This particular one is needlessly overdone, just not a good example for people wanting to learn. Β In fact, I can link to several better ones.

Aye, but you do realize you could just skip the steps in "overdoing" it, right? In my opinion it's about style and how they do it is just fine, I quite like it. Gives me a slight magical feel; I have no idea why lol. But if you can link better ones then I'm sure people trying to learn will find those ones as well if they look hard enough or look on Google or some other search engine, and it seems a good amount of people already find it helpful anyways so no need to fret about the matter; if it wasn't for you - it wasn't for you.Β
Besides what if somebody wants something like this? I sure as hell would love something like this and it's quite helpful for what I want to achieve, though I thought I would add my two cents in, I apologize if I sounded rude, and I apologize to the Artist for clogging up their Artwork like this.Β
