The white ground outside the motel room seemed to stream any surrounding light into the room as Sam, Dean, and (Y/N) walked in for the night. It had been a long night, and they were just returning from hunting a Wendigo.

Dean went directly to one of the beds and crashed on top of it, wanting to pass out. Sam was fairly tired himself, but he took his time, at least taking his shoes and jacket off before lying down on the other bed. (Y/N) didn’t head straight to bed, and the boys were confused when they heard her rummaging through her bag.

“Did you forget something, (Y/N)?” Sam asked. She looked up at both of them from the opposite side of the room, then shook her head, going back to searching through her bag.

“No, I actually have something for you guys,” she said, smiling at her bag as she found what she was looking for.

“Please don’t tell me that you got something for me for Christmas,” Dean complained.

“I did, actually. Sorry to disappoint you,” She replied, pulling out two boxes and taking both to each of the boys. She sat on the side of the bed that she and Dean would be sharing.

Sam smiled and gladly took the box, thanking her. Dean was reluctant to take the box she handed him.

“It took a lot of time and money to get these things for you guys, so I hope you like them,” she smiled hopefully.

Sam opened his box and pulled out a book. “(Y/N), where did you get this? I’ve never heard of this book.”

“I know the author, actually, and I asked him if he’d send me a copy for you,” she continued to smile. “I had hoped you’d like it. It’s a lot like the books you read.”

“I do, thank you,” he smiled back. They both turned to Dean. It was his turn. He opened the box and reached inside. He grabbed hold of a shirt and pulled it out.

“A shirt?” He asked, obviously disappointed.

“Look underneath the shirt,” (Y/N) said to him. He looked inside the box and found a smaller box inside. It was a jewelry box, and he looked at her like she should know him better.

“Just open it,” (Y/N) told him. He pulled the jewelry box out and opened it. Inside was a chain bracelet with a small charm engraved with his name with two diamonds on either side of it. The font of the engraving was very elegant and beautiful. He pulled the bracelet out of the box and looked it over. The charm seemed to double as a locket piece.

“Open it,” (Y/N) said with a slight smile as she bit her lip. He did as she instructed and opened the charm, finding a picture of her on one side and a picture of him on the other side.

“Where did you get this?” Dean asked, looking up at her.

“I had it specially made. I ordered it back in September, but I didn’t get it until last week. I had to go pick it up from the store since I couldn’t have it delivered. It’s real diamonds in there and real silver,” she said, hoping he would be happy with it. She started to feel hesitant as he looked over the bracelet, not looking up from it.

A few moments later, he quickly pulled her into a hug, holding her tight. She sat there for a moment, confused.

“Thank you… I love it… And I love you for caring so much about me…” He said, his voice getting deeper as tears filled his eyes. She hugged him back tightly, smiling.

“You’re welcome… I’m glad you like it…” She said, rubbing his back.

The next morning, Dean got up early, making Sam get up with him.

“Dean, what are we doing up so early?” Sam asked, standing outside the passenger side door of the Impala, huddling around himself to try to keep warm.

“(Y/N) spent so much time and money on getting our gifts for us that I don’t want her to feel left out, so we’re going to get her something before she wakes up,” he explained, but Sam didn’t feel any better knowing why they were outside in the freezing weather. It was starting to snow again, as well.

When (Y/N) woke up, Sam and Dean were both gone. She got up and started looking for them. When she saw no signs of them being around, she looked for anything that might have happened to them.

There was no sign of a struggle, nor was there any signs of fighting. Their things were still in the room, as well. She decided that they probably went out for breakfast and went to take a shower.

When (Y/N) stepped out of the bathroom after her shower, Sam and Dean had both returned. Dean immediately came up and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her. She kissed him back, then looked at him, slightly confused.

“What was that about?” She asked smiling.

“This,” Dean replied, handing her a small gift box with the pull off top. She was confused, but she took it and opened it, finding a small crystal heart attached to a chain. She slowly and carefully pulled it out, finding a real snowflake encased inside the crystal. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she smiled a huge smile.

“Oh, Dean…” She hugged him tightly, and he hugged her back.

“That’s not all,” he said with a smile as he hugged her back. She slowly pulled away and looked up at him.

“There’s more?” She asked, slightly confused. He nodded and got down on one knee. Sam even looked surprised at this.

“(Y/N), I’ve known you for a while, and I’ve dated you for only a fraction of that time, but… I want to know you better. I love you, (Y/N),” he started, then reached into his pocket. (Y/N) covered her gaping mouth with her hands, the tears clouding her vision. “(F/N) will you marry me?” Dean asked, revealing a small diamond ring. (Y/N) nodded, her eyes pouring tears down her cheeks, and she attacked him with a hug and kisses after he put the ring on her finger.

“Dean, this is the best Christmas present ever,” she whispered into his ear.

“I’m glad you like it,” he replied.
