a very good friend of mine enlightened me to a few things artistically as i was making this- resulting in it's early finish and my dissatisfaction with myself.it's not entirely a bad thing- because now i'm motivated to work harder on personal expression and style while expanding my creativity instead of relying on flashy overworked pieces that people seem to flock to~ all in all it was a good experience and a tremendous help in lifting my art block. :3
i don't know how long this took- but it was a looooong time.
hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

have you ever read the book Dr. Franklins island? This reminded me of one of the main characters that got biologically transformed into a fish-like creature, and the author's description is almost exact to this. Anyway, very intereating peice.

The lighting is so pretty ;__; The muscles on her are really lovely too! I love the chest. I think this is a great scene and has a wonderful feel to it. I love ocean pictures and I think this came out great. Again I just love the lighting. The textures are also really nice! Did you do this with real media O: ? or on comp? Either way so so pretty!!

You did a great job - For some reason I am getting conflicting feelings from this - both feelings that the character is graceful but also that there is fear being created from her. Nothing to do with the way you have created this just the vibes I get. A geat artwork.

The creature in this art piece reminds me of the creatures/aliens in the movie "The Abyss"
