I like it, well done, I know how troubling it is to take an image out of its element.
I like using the Wand Selection Tool with a low tolerance zoomed in really close after I used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to select big chunks of the background that I didn't want. Then just a small feather on the border. This way takes a bit of time but has some great results.
I like the blood in the BG, it looks good!
