Description
Tahu the toa of fire adorned with the golden armor created by the mask of life. He is what caused Makuta Teridax's defeat.This drawing is sort of an amalgamation of the bionicle stars Tahu, original Tahu, and Tahu nuva lego sets.

i honestly love this. the gold along with the white makes Tahu look like he's burning white hot, that even being near him would cause his enemies to vaporize.

I'll be honest....I never did like the stars. I don't care if others liked it. But I didn't. HOWEVER, what you have done here with this version of him...it looks GREAT!

And so, our last hopes were placed in Toa Tahu, who had all his badass powers stripped away for no reason just to wield armor made of gold. Except gold has a relatively low melting heat, so arming a toa of fire with golden armor proved useless, and the world sank into darkness... XD

I like this, as I have all the Tahu sets and you did good on this. One thing: the armor on the arms are supposed to on the upper arms, not the lower arms.

The Stars set was really disappointing. Simple as that. I expected so much more the the finale of a grand series. But, it will have to suffice.
I wish Lego had used this rendition for the creation of Tahu's last incarnation. Great job on this.

As far as the story goes, Tahu was returned to his original form by the Mask of Life so that he would be more powerful. It was probably a form before the Toa Mata.

...so then how does Takanuva have the same body structure? Or Gresh for that matter?

Tahu was originated back to his original form, that doesn't mean the others weren't changed into a similar form, which Takanuva was probably cured and Gresh could actually have already had a similar form to Tahu's original, plus, all of the sets are smaller than they are actually supposed to be, by that I mean relative to making them figures. The sets were made similar, that doesn't mean that they are identical in the Bionicle universe.
Plus, it wasn't ever actually said why Gresh or Takanuva look the way they do as far as lore goes, so no one actually knows. It was said, however, that Tahu was turned back by Mata Nui so he could be more powerful and wear the Golden Armor.

Indeed. Though I still question if Takanuva was "cured", why his stuff is suddenly silver, gray and white, when pure takanuva was white and gold. Guess Mata Nui didn't want him encroaching on Tahu's gig.

He was fully cured, it's just that his armor was never changed back, for whatever reason.

I believe that Takanuva chose to make his armor that way to make him self more inconspicuous. Remember, as an Av-matoran/Toa of light, he can change his color at will.

Takanuva was half infected by a Shadow Leech, that hindered his power slightly. He could still use light, but he wasn't a FULL Toa of Light anymore, he was half Toa of Shadow.

Wow... I mean wow! The dark inkings of Tahu's structure are perfect and spot on, and the details are magnificently elaborate in just a notch of his frame. I especially love how you made the gold contrast with his gunmetal grey body. That is just sweet. Still, I find the arm positioning of his hand and shield a little awkward since it looks a little backwards from his usual frame. Still, along with the etchings of his mask and sword, there isn't much else I can touch up on. Nice job!

Tahu looks like a boss. As always, you managed to maintain a design which looks like the set, but far more awesome and mechanical. The golden armor looks great on him, and the mask is perhaps the greatest part, the ultimate throwback to days of old.
