While out over 100 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, a few friends and I observed the coolest moonrise I have ever seen. Sometimes the right conditions all come together (the same reason sunsets are sometimes very colorful), and make the moon red. I've seen it red before, but never this red. That color is not enhanced whatsoever.East of Atlantis Canyon

You know what makes a red moon even cooler..? Standing at a lake and seeing it reflect of the surface of the lake. It's gorgeous.

I saw one almost that red on my way home to Washington from Michigan while driving with my family. It was intense! I thought it was one of the coolest things ever. And then the next day my mom and I saw such a beautiful sunny sky behind the clouds. It was one of those mornings where the sun is low enough and behind clouds so that the rays leak through and you can see them quite vividly. I have many pictures of it so maybe I'll send you a note with a few of them if you want. I'm no photographer though haha my mom made me take them because she thought it was super amazing.
