I suggest you check out X-force 1-16. They're pretty good visual wise even though they have hiccups that will make you facepalm.

This show blows any toku nowadays out of the water until a great and dark toku hits Japan once more.
Oh yeah,I haven't noticed that. XD Too bad no breakdancing nor do they ever use a house music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDIMdQ… They really dodged that chance.

If Kamen Rider Spirits taught us anything,Kamen Rider is anything but a kids show.

...Except the manga and the TV shows are completely different, and it's not really fair to compare them since the show is never faithful to the manga.
But trust me, I get it! Kamen Rider never talks down to its audience. It never pretends that people don't die or bleed, etc. They treat their audience like adults, since adults will probably share it with their kids anyways. Kind of like how Doctor Who is for all audiences also. But if it wasn't meant to be a kids show; there wouldn't be so many toys, they wouldn't play the show on Sunday Mornings, kids wouldn't be in all the toy commercials, there wouldn't be live shows at theme parks with kids being most of the audience, etc.
In fact, each show is planned ahead with Bandai's help. While we're enjoying Ghost, they've all ready finished all the details for next year's Kamen Rider, and they're currently planning the Kamen Rider after that! Bandai really wants to get those toys going as soon as possible.

Aww nuts. What else now but to hope that the Riders after Kamen Rider Ghost would have an understanding of what KR is. Faiz and Blade and Ryuki and Kuuga..personally,every Heisei Kamen Rider understood what Shotaro Ishinomori envisioned KR to be and I hope the next Rider after Ghost would do so.

Early Heisei was much better, actually! They had more drama, more dark moments. Less toy-focused stuff. More dangerous stunt work. Makes modern Heisei look very different.
Would be great if there was a Kamen Rider anime. It could follow the mangas faithfully.
All I am saying is, just because something is for kids, doesn't mean its bad. People loved the Showa era stuff. People still love the Heisei era stuff. You could call Doctor Who "for kids" because it's scifi and sells lots of toys, but don't say that to the Whoovians, because they'll deny it. Because both shows, Kamen Rider and Doctor Who, don't treat their audience like idiots. Death happens in both shows. Bleeding happens in both shows. Both shows have great stories and characters and stuff!
And that's why we like these shows. Because unlike Power Rangers, the makers aren't trying to *protect us from real life*. You'll never see heroes die or even bleed on Power Rangers. Kids love the action and the toys, the adults love the stories and the drama, and the teens love both. They are great shows!

Agreed. And isn't tokusatsu supposed to be...well,Special EFFECTS?!! Stuntwork is one of 'em,right? So what's the point?
That is true....hmm,ok,I'll just give Ghost a swig of a a chance. Still,W,OOO,Fourze and Wizard needs an American adaptation. I've heard W gained an American fanbase of Masked Rider immediately. Guess Toei wanted Riders to be sent to stateside pronto.

While reading your post, I play this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JAOKf…
Kamen Rider Gaim. My favorite and best Neo-Heisei Kamen Rider show IMO. And this was Gen Urobuchi's first toku show. And we see how it turned it out.
Even my brothers and friends found the fruit theme of the show being 'ridiculous'. But I told them that by time Gaim reached episode 11, things get serious. Everyone in the Kamen Rider fandom were proven wrong.
Oh yeah, I agree about Kouta. My first impression of him that he's more like Shinji due to his naivety, but as the series progresses, I was totally wrong as well. Unlike the cynical ambivalent protagonist of Ryuki (and also a douche himself), he's more open-minded and was willing to do something for the greater good, even at the cost of his humanity. Because he saw that people, despite their decisions and their personalities or thinking, also have their flaws and weaknesses as well. That's why Kaito had big respect on him; that's why Micchy hated his guts midway in the series (Kouta's line of "Silly Micchy, no matter how you did bad on me, we're still friends." really touches me) and that's why Takatora changed his perspective when Kouta told him that there is another way of saving the human race from Helheim. He's one of best KR protagonists I've ever seen.
Gaim is amazing on its own.
*goes back reading "Orange Swordsman"*

You had every right to play that theme.
Gaim is leaps and bounds a creative toku of its time and I think tokusatsu should follow its standards of not only the characters but also depth of what the human spirit and what the dangers await them are.
It is better than Gokaiger and any Sentai now playing. Yes,Ninninger sucks.
Thanks for reading my description of the series,KR Eternal. I thank you for enjoying the series.
