Savior the fact I actually do these pre-scheduled so I can flesh them out consistently, I had this planned for a few weeks omfg. Thank god I had the motivation to do that.
Anyway-
That's R.E.I.D. a giant electric gate surrounding the cities and towns of Hoenn. Only humans need IDs to get through them. Pokemon, biologically, have an average body heat temp that's lower than humans so they can go through the gate just fine.

Also BTW, Treecko's not Colin and Torchic is not May's. Just to clarify. uwu

In addition of making a super long prologue, there are names and movements that you may or may not catch that will reappear later on in the comic. And sadly this Hoenn Nuzlocke does not have the Character saving Professor Birch ;A; sorry! I know that's a favorite scenario among Nuzlockers but I planned the story for a long while.

Also, I effed up the 16th panel, so I labeled them pffft.
