The Doll maker lives in a lonely castle, upon a tall hill-side
covered in wildflowers

locked up in tower,
with one butler dressed in black,
The doll maker was at work

alas, his hands gave birth to a beautiful woman.

in a room full of cobwebs, she is born, blinking the dust out of her dainty eye lashes.

The dollmaker holds her hand in his

and they danced under the chandeliers.

when the fragile girl breaks,
when her metal joints rust,
she cannot feel the bitty termites,
that gnaws hungrily at her wooden bones.

Alas,

the doll maker becomes reminded

that his fleeting happiness was only artificial.

He heaves a great sigh, as he bends down

to wind her golden strings again.

i was actually doing a little experimentation of my own for this piece.
i got some Bristol board and pastels a few weeks ago.... and decided to test them out, along with brushing up on line work... and practicing some gestures...
as you can see, i still suck at drawing human proportions even tho i'm taking classes...T_T BWAaaa
so i'm sorry that i couldn't upload anything better for now and sorry that this is so messy...
and this picture quality is so BAD!! argh it's really fuzzy. ii'll try taking another pic of it another time when the lighting outside gets better...
my toes are freezing off

this was just something quick that i wanted to do for myself...before immersing my legs in the big pile of homework that i've been procrastinating on and i'm going to have to get cracking on working on commissions~!!!
