Ippo from The First Step too realistic to go against Little Mac, Spring Man from ARMS isn't realistic enough. Rocky is a philosophical story about a guy who never gives up no matter the odds, which wouldn't work for Death Battle. Little Mac VS Rocky Balboa would be like Albert Wesker VS Pyramid Head. And finally, Balrog and Dudley don't have much in common with Little Mac aside from them being boxers.

What does Ed have in common with Little Mac? Both are scrappy young boxers who were trained by former heavyweight champs (Doc Louis and Balrog). Little Mac has abilities like the Star Punch and Giga Mac transformation, which greatly increase his striking power. Ed uses Psycho Power, the same thing M. Bison fights with, to enhance his punches. They both use the most basic form of combat, punching, with their own unique takes on the sport. They're also roughly the same height, with Ed only being a few inches taller than Mac.

Like I said, Ed uses Psycho Power. This is because he was a test subject for M. Bison to possess if his original body was ever destroyed. He was then found and raised by Balrog, who taught him how to fight. As a result, he shares Balrog's tendency to fight dirty, using the Psycho Power he inherited from M. Bison. His Psycho Cannon attack gives him extra range, and his Psycho Snatcher attack can pull opponents in toward him. Seeing as how Ed's just a boxer and is more interested getting that bag than supreme power, his Psycho Power's probably not as destructive as M. Bison's. Let's look at each fighter's opponents, to get a better sense of how strong they are.

Little Mac has fought opponents that use dirty tactics before, like Aran Ryan and Great Tiger. He can tag Piston Honda, who outran a bullet train to prepare for his rematch against Little Mac. He can block a hit from Mr. Sandman, who can destroy a building. And of course, he beat Donkey Kong, who can punch the moon out of orbit. Ed's fought on par with the aforementioned M. Bison, and Seth, an android who copies other Street Fighters' techniques.

Little Mac and Ed are both underdogs who, despite being regular guys, can fight on the same level as gods. I'll leave you to decide who would come out on top in the ring.
