Finally finished
. Milla Jovovich from Ultraviolet. I thought this would be a fun challenge with the interesting background and the runes on the sword. Of course Milla is beautiful
. It was done with 2h through 6b pencils (some mechanical) on vellum. About 10 hours.

i think background here is a tad to flat and floating, kind of like mona lisa's background but milla looks great! such realistic depiction and you capture her bold cool looks wonderfully! always liked her since the fifth element. she is a stand alone, acting that doesn't get interrupted by or restricted by looks.
cool, vellum. is it hard to obtain? i don't seem to recall seeing it at any art stores here, but maybe i am just looking at wrong place^^ and is it also easy to smudge? i have only read that vellum is smooth, and to my own limited experience, smooth paper is super easy to smudge. but this piece looks really clean and rather sharp.
