I'll say. The ultimate being of the moral realm itself even consenting to follow his orders ONCE? Mind-boggling to imagine.
My ideal progression for Ash was him becoming, literally, the #1 Pokemon Trainer in recognized international battles...all the while handling anything from merely stereotypically stubborn Pokemon to the Legendaries...and then when he literally couldn't master anything more powerful he retired, marrying a powerful sentient female 'Mon who had been with him literally though more fire, flood, fury, and fighting than most people see in a lifetime.
His retirement line would be something like this:
"I've won everything I ever wanted - every badge, every ribbon. In the process I won something I never set out to: the heart and love of someone who is my soul mate. Her physical difference means nothing to me. As to all present and future requests for interviews, autographs, endorsements and public appearances, I will say this politely just ONE TIME: Don't. Bother. Me. Make me say it in person and I will reiterate it...painfully. Stalkers will be sent to the police if you survive the ensuing trauma. To the relevant civil authorities: may God Almighty help you if you harass me or my mate or any children we have in the future, because I can and will call on a god just a couple rungs down from Him for aid.
