Revisited Myponga Beach, South Australia and got an okayish vertical pano of the milky way above these ruins. Taken with a 7D and Samyang 14mm f2.8 borrowed fromΒ who was out shooting too.Hundreds of sheep flocked in as I was taking these, cutting time short but it came out alright after some photoshopping.

Very cool picture, now I got inspired, whenever it stops being cloudy I go out and play with star-shooting

I'm just harsh on myself, I had an image in my head of what I wanted the photo to look like and it didn't come out the way I'd planned. It would have been great to have the Milky Way going diagonally across the frame and over the ruins, not just because it'd look cooler but also to keep the dimensions more normal as it's a bit too long.

Did you manage to have your camera rotating while shooting?

Nah it's just a few images stitched together that were all taken with 25 second exposures, short enough to stop the stars from trailing.
