xD im so chibi obsessed i have a hard time with realistic proportions, but i can't wait to improve at them....(and improve my chibis as well <3 )
yeah saw in other comments mentioning gaia auctions...
a lot seems to be social... and random luck. i mean one month i can do a auction and get a around 500k AB and then the next month I barely get 30k in bids. Its really weird.
It may have something to do with the fact that I am really lazy with auctions >____>;;
I am shock though sometimes to see people with not that much skill or offering art that takes them little time getting way more that something to me at least way better(and not meaning my art)... simply because the one person has lots of rich friends. :/ i dunno...
but back ontopic.... :'D
she is really cute, but the cute simple head seems a bit weird on the awesome body. maybe just scale down the body just a tad, and thin it out a little. i love sexy chibis(any chibi for that matter) and the body and the head are so awesome they just seem a bit weird together. but still very cute and sexy. *___*

Cute! Um... I think it's getting more stylised, but not to the point of chibi - this one looks pre-teen, whereas I'd say most chibis have sort of 5 year old proportions but with disproportionately large heads and eyes.
I think the thing about getting high bids on Gaia isn't so much about chibis as popular, marketable style. Which on Gaia usually means cute generic anime, unfortunately >.< It's also a lot to do with social status on the site which kinda sucks - I'm pretty sure being a mod had something to do with that last auction ABing; doubt I'd be able to pull it off again.

don't be so modest! I think your chibis are to die for! From what I've seen though it's the artist with the most funkiest original styles that get the high bids. I have a tendency to draw what I think is correct...so I can't deviate to make things look interesting xD. I can't let it get me down though, every artist has some hurdle that they have to learn to overcome, right?

haha you should show! I think a good way to practice on a low profile is to go on an oekaki board. When I was learning I drew on those heaps. Most of them don't have that many members and mostly everyone there are beginners.
