heh, so uhm... i ended up drawing zuzu *3* i love his character so i couldn't help myself...i actually think i will do more of the guys in my poll, and maybe even more fanarts... this one went pretty fast so maybe *w*
if i have the time... stupid work ;_;
i don't own zuko (even if a want to) but i'm too lazy to find out who created him... but the art is made by me... duh.

oh me too! I love it when there's a violent, sad or complicated story behind a character, somehow it's always more interesting if the story is a little twisted~

Yes, yes, yes. It gives so much more depth to the character. That was one of the things I was most blown away by with this show, that there were such twisted and interesting backgrounds for the characters. They weren't one dimensional, they weren't what they first appeared to be on the outside.

I thought so too, especially about zuko *_* he's one of my favourite fictional characters and will always be ^^
the part that is most fun when it comes to series like avatar is when you get to know the characters, both good and bad things about them!

Yes! I like shows that make me invest in the characters, and this one definitely did. In particular, I cried with Iroh, on his son's birthday. I cried with Zuko when he finally saw his Uncle again towards the end of the series. I even cried for Appa, when he was all alone. Those moments drug you in with real emotional depth. There were many others of course as well. Moments that made you feel as if the characters were real people you had shared an emotional journey with.

aaah so true! even though it's an anime you can't help but to feel connected to the characters when they portray them so well! darnit, us talking about this is making me wanna re-watch avatar... and I don't have time for that! ^^

They had a marathon going the other day on TV, and I was able to sit down and watch a bunch of it with my son. He loves the show too! I got to see one of my favorite episodes, The Tales of Ba Sing Se

I need to get the entire series so that I can. Actually, what I really want, is the entire series, with the option to watch it with the the "Avatar Extra's" that they sometimes play it with. Some of those comments are too freakin hilarious! Whoever wrote those, I want them to come sit in my living room and provide commentary while I watch, hehe!

Oh my goodness yes! I actually might not have started watching Avatar in the first place, if not for those extras. But the first episode I watched had them, and the commentary was so funny, I was sucked in immediately. Then I got sucked in by the characers and story as well of course.

I'm not sure I would have, only because the episodes weren't running in order at all, and it was hard to follow. It was only because I got really sucked into it by the funny commentary, that it was then worth it to me to keep watching, then upon watching more, I wanted to know "Hey, what's the whole story here, I want to know more about these characters and what's going on?", so then I sought it out to watch all the episodes in order.

hah well I on the other hand didn't like it at all when I first saw it... it took me several episodes (on different occasions) before I started getting interested XD but I really loved it after a while of course! It might have something to do with the fact that zuko changed hairstyles...
