Hello Saber. I just commented on the Nuzlocke forum amount how much I like your comic, but I wanted to add my two cents here. Your nuzlocke is one of my favorite ever. The plot is inspired and well thought out, and the characters are well fleshed out. I love the art, too. You've really improved since you started, that's for sure! I love your lining and your linewidths and how you use negative space. I also really like your pokemon designs.
Sometimes the starkness of Candy's and other's scars jolts me a little, but that's a byproduct of the style I think rather than anything else.
I can't wait to see what happens next!

I'd like to sum up all of these comments in one
I have never seen a Nuzlocke like this, then again, I don't go searching. I have to say, however, that I am so happy that I found yours. I love the short pages with multiple updates at once. Makes it much easier to review what has happened. Also, I love the way that you keep all of Candace's and Fortinbra's and everyone's battle scars exactly the same as in the update before; nice consistency, something that I can't master. Hope you know that I give a happy little squeak when my inbox gets flooded with the updates from you and I can't wait to see where the story is going

Just to put my two cents in, I'm guessing this whole thing is a big misunderstanding, but will be what leads Candace to Kanto to sort this shit out about Sabrina. I'm really excited! I was so into the storyline that is Apocalypse Johto, I totally forgot that you'd need some reason to go to Kanto that would link up with the rest of the story since the actual game will take her to Kanto.
I love that this comic has me forgetting that this is actually based on a nuzlocke, which in turn has to roughly follow the game's basic layout rather then just being some incredible slice of kick-ass storytelling and art. This is just done so freaking well.

... Really? of course she hasn't been brainwashed by Sabrina. Just because sabrina sent some mindless minions to fight the elite four before doesn't mean candace is on of them.

Ths turn of events has certainly been an interesting one. However, I'm not sure how much of I'm going to put stock in until the E4 explain a bit more.
I mean, if they are right, then where were the hints (I'm tempted to go back and look for some)? Surely having Fortinbras, Frostbite, and now Trump Card would have protected her from mind control. On top of that, Trump Card was in her head all this time, so maybe that is what is causing her to show signs of being brainwashed.
In terms of art, everything is still done beautifully here. THe moves look cool, the Pokemon look awesome (Then again, I'm biased towards Eons since they're my favourite line), and so do the humans.

I almost feel like I've suddenly missed a huge chunk of what's happened... This whole Sabrina thing is coming out of abso-frickin'-lutely NOWHERE if it's true. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I won't know quite how I feel about it until I find out if it's true and if so, what it all means.
By the way, I found this Apocalypse Johto a few months ago, and even though I haven't reviewed/commented/whatever until now, I have to say I'm loving it! There are some things I didn't like at first (it doesn't really feel like a Nuzlocke, which was just contrary to the mood I was in upon finding this comic and not a bad thing in itself by any means), but I've really come to enjoy how intense it is, and how incredibly you make the battles somehow more about the humans than about the pokΓ©mon actually fighting. One thing I really liked from the beginning was how Candace seemed to be involved in the battles herself, what with how much damage she tended to take after each important fight. Aside from that, your art style is also incredibly awesome.
I'll admit that the particular romance in Apocalypse Johto was... not exactly my thing at first, and it put me off a bit initially. However, you've pulled it off so well that I must admit I quite like it now. ^_^ Well played, good sir. Well played indeed.
