Description
A family of Carnotaurus feed on a hadrosaur they have killed. The alpha, scarred and blind in one eye, looks outward at a potential threat, his gaze dissuading any ideas about scavenging.

A redo of a sketch that was turned into a wall-hanging quilt I later sold. Instead of two Carnotaurus like in the original, the number rose to four to balance the scene more. Though originally I was going to show only the finished product, I decided to show the sketch I was starting with. Of the four carnotaurs I did, my favorite was the scarred male, which I affectionately named "Shrapnel". Shrapnel has his own little backstory too; his scars and dead eye were caused by burning debris from a lightning bolt that nearly hit him. Now he's become smart, cautious and even more dangerous.
