THIS IS ONE OF MINE AND MY FRIENDS' RWBY OC'S SO DON'T JUDGE.Lol but isn't she pretty? If you watch RWBY try to guess what myth she's based off of. I'll just say that it's not as obvious as it looks.

this oc either is based on Sirens or the myth of Sinbad. Both of which are great myths to base an Oc on. Anyways, on to more important stuff.. I LOVE THIS OC! please, tell me the name of her weapons! and what exactly do these swords do? are they simple sword? dust infused? what is her fighting style? or her semblance

Thank you so much! And yes, she's based off of Sirens. I haven't figured out a name for her weapons yet, but I'll need to look up some stuff first (I like to research names before choosing). Her swords can transform into two guns if she spins them on her hands, and they can connect at the ends to form a double ended sword instead. Although the two swords are what she uses the most often. She doesn't use any dust. As for fighting style I'm not sure how to describe it. You can ask a few more specific questions and I may be able to answer better.

well, is she a quick or slow fighter? does she use straight slashes when using the sword? or more cursive? are slashes heavy or light? are her guns long, short or middle range? how spray? how much recoil?

She's very quick and agile and can be very hard to hit. This makes up for the fact that she's pretty weak when it comes to attacking. Her slashes are more curved and she moves in very swift and flowing movements, but she uses her swords more to block and defend rather than actually trying to land a hit. She uses her guns and martial arts more for attacks. She uses light slashes so that she can move and react faster. The guns are middle to long range. Not sure what spray means, but since she's mainly about staying fast and swift, the recoil is very small so that she can shoot continuously between the two guns. Hope this helps!

spray means how moch the gun pulls to the side with a shot. for example, machine guns often have a high spray level. and it did indeed help. now i know how to have my ocs defeat her >

i have one that is an all rounder, thanks to his weapon and semblance. i created him to be an "jack of all trades" aka he can fight in all ranges and speed types.

That sounds cool! I didn't want to make my characters too strong so I gave them all specific strengths and weaknesses. I also wanted to make it so that their skills complimented each other well.

yeah. i tend to balance them by adding literal FATAL flaws. like, for example, i am working on one that is extremely fast, and can use the momentum whilst also staying in one place, thus creating extreme hits. but he can only use that momentum/speed thing once a day since it leaves him with only 2% of his aura. his bones and muscles nearly rip every time after all.

Yes, she is quite pretty. And I'm guessing she has something to do with the story behind Pisces perhaps? Or maybe some Japanese or Chinese folktale I'm not aware of... Probably either Greek or Roman since that is where Sirens originate. Did you know that Sirens also came in bird form?
Anyway, I love the design!

The name Siren is more about the whole voice hypnotism thing. So that's how they differ from harpies. Otherwise they are pretty much the same physically I'd say.
When I saw her, I immediately thought about The Odyssey. You really captured the look well with this. I don't know why that would be a tricky one though, Sirens aren't exactly an obscure creature. 
The fishnet parts were genius btw! A great hint at Sirens AND a fitting addition to the outfit!

Yeah, true! Sirens have the ability to lure men into the ocean to drown but harpies can't.
Lol I had to read the Odyssey for school this year! I personally didn't like it but it was still okay. But Sirens are depicted in lot of other things, not just the Odyssey. Although you are right, I should probably change in to "myth" instead. I love Greek mythology too.

Well it was a wonderful idea nonetheless!
Sirens do lure men to drown, but it is mostly so they can eat them afterwards. So a bird-like Siren probably cuts out the middle-man.
The Odyssey is long, but it is interesting imo. Using cleverness and willpower, he overcame every obstacle. All to be with his wife and son again. I love how you don't need to have read The Illiad first for the story to make sense.

Yes, the Odyssey is a bit tricky to read at first and the plot is very interesting. It was very well written but personally it wasn't exactly to my tastes. Although I can see why you and many others enjoy the book!

I was about to say "Pisces" (like the zodiac constellation) but then read "fairy tale." 
I actually love the design because the usage of the various "fishnet" sleeves, gloves, and leggings really work well to portray her connection to the ocean. I also love the placement of the scale-texture on her boots.

Lol no but that's a very good guess! I love the story of Cinderella but I wanted something different (plus there's already a character with that theme). And thank you! I tried my best to create a design that immediately reminded people of the ocean or sea, and aside from scales I thought fishnet was a more unique approach. I'm glad that you like it!
