Ever since I saw that preview of the Sun&Moon anime where Ash was also riding on a Sharpedo I though 'I have to draw Paul and Rosika doing this!'
I even have lil' stories for the Sharpedos:

The Sharpedo Paul is riding is a fairly young one. It's always very excited about carrying people over the water and it has a lot of fun while doing it. It's starts off a bit slow but can get very fast the longer the ride. It also has the tendency to make high jumps out of the water, almost always scaring the person riding it.
Rosie's Sharpedo is a little older and more experienced. It had a few bad experiences with stupid trainers who constantly fell of it so it's a little harsh as it always expects trouble from the people that ride it. Still it's a good and steady swimmer, even in wild waters with high waves.

I am very proud of how this turned out! The anatomy may not be the best/closest to the XY style but I think it's one of the most dynamic pictures I have drawn in the PokeAni style. And since most of my PokeAni style pictures end up looking kinda stiff that's something I am incredibly proud of! I wanted to add some sort of motion blur but I didn't know how to do it with GIMP and I was to lazy to look up tutorials //sorry not sorry
It's also the first time I have drawn the clouds like they were drawn in XY instead of the usual BW style clouds. It was a challenge since they are more detailed and "realistic" than the BW style clouds but I think they turned out well!

This is also sort of a celebratory picture since I just hit 1,000 watchers yesterday! So thank you so much, guys!!
I used some screenshot references for the water and clouds to colour pick and get the basic shape of the clouds! Also used the official PokeRide illustration (the part with the Sharpedo rider) as a pose reference for both Rosie and Paul
