I agree with the general concept of what Kochikens was trying to say.... though I also feel that finished and meticulous peices are better. Theres a destinct beauty in them both, one is a sudden expression of a thought, feeling, emotion... coalesed onto paper. The larger works are very deticated, refined. Lots of work and nurturing...
Or maybe I just wanna molest you. Either way. <3

I think this is a very cute portrayal of Boo as opposed to her generally dark and seductive moods. I like it a lot, even if it is just a scribble. :3 Personally I think even your scribbles look like finished works of art. LOL. Keep up the good work. <3

You ought to try doing things like this more often, it apparently comes out better then things you spend a lot of time on.
The face has a lot of character to it. I like it. :3

Thank you for liking it.
Unfortunatly, I found your comment to be extremely rude and insulting.
I like to think I get better everytime I draw. This was the latest thing I scribbled up, and slapped colour on.
It might look better from a visual point, but I don't appreciate being told that it's "apparently better than stuff I put effort into".
Effort = heart, for me.

Not what I meant. :9
Some of your stuff seems to have overdone colouring, as if you labour over and change the lineart meticulously. Often that ruins the general flow of a piece, to fiddle with it that much, and with this it looks very freehanded and instead of changing what might be minute flaws you let them sit and it really keeps with the 'flow' instead of possibly over working pieces. Didn't mean to sound rude, by the way. Just saying that I perfer it when you let things have such a gentle natural colouring.

I don't over work or labour over my stuff. I don't change the line art either. I will sometimes, as any artist will, when I realise a mistake I hadn't seen before, but thats about it.
I suppose it's the the way I do things. I really don't see or understand what you're telling me looks bad, because the only real problem I see with my art (ALL of my art) is the line art being kind of sqiggly, and thats just because i'm still learning how to use my tablet in order to ink. That doesn't mean I think i'm amazing at colouring, but at the moment, i'm fine with my CGing skills and don't see them as horrible.
I'm always open for critique, but not when you're just going to sit there and tell me that I -ought to- do something the way you'd rather have it done. It'd be fine if you said "Hey, I like this better because this this and this, I prefer this cause blah blah blah" , and not "You ought to try doing things like this more often, it apparently comes out better then things you spend a lot of time on"
I don't see how you don't think thats a really rude comment. The last part especially. It's really depressing...
If you weren't trying to be rude, than you should probably think about your wording before you type next time, no offence..but yea..this was bad lol
I would rather not gum up my comments area, so if you reply please do so by note.
Thanks.

You should tell people to look at this on full view. The smaller view does it no justice at all! Very nice work, I like it. As tazaraki said, even without effort your work looks amazing.
