Description
It was bound to happen sooner or later.(I actually can't even legitimately call this a cosplay yet; I have no costume assembled. But the wig arrived and I was geeking out and yeah.)

One thing that is recurrent in PRYDAIN is that almost all the leaders, such as Gwydion, are very old; only a very few, such as Pryderi, are young. Is that an indication that their lives are longer than those of average mortals, such as Taran and Eilonwy?

I don't believe Gwydion's age is ever given. I imagine he and Pryderi to be similar in age, probably mid 40s. The only characters that seem unnaturally old are either clearly magical - Dallben, Achren, Arawn - or inhuman.

Speaking of live action Eilonwy, which actress/es would you say fit the role?

Hard to say, given that in the beginning she is so young I think she'd need to be played by an unknown. So my opinion has changed as the years have gone by, but just now I love the idea of Raffey Cassidy.

It's a given that you have to be very careful with unknowns. Peter O'Toole was magnificent as LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, but NICHOLAS AND ALEXANDRA was ruined by the dull and uncharismatic Michael Jayston.

Naturally. I would hope any casting directors would look carefully at talent rather than attempting to type cast or go off appearance alone. When I say unknown I don't mean zero acting experience - just nothing that would have put her in the public eye much. I feel the same way about Taran.

Sigh. You've no idea how I envy your natural red. I'm heavily made-up here and the photo is further color-adjusted to pull it all off with my orangey-based skin tone. But this hair tickles me pink. I swear if it weren't so hot I'd wear it all the time.
Got my eye on a dress on etsy...I hope to do a proper cosplay before the year is out.
