I use SAI and I've used the S-7 setting on hard brushes, so the lines are smooth and straight.

Yeah, it was really helpful. There isn't a lot you can do with SAI, so every bit of information helps quite a bit. I've never really thought about the things she said in her tutorial, but it made perfect sense when I read it and I just had to try it out for myself
