This is my first submission to Fanart100...which I'm still not technically a part of, but...it'll get submitted eventually.

The prompt for this was 'beginnings,' which, in a series, I'm doing consecutively the beginning, middle, and end of Orochimaru's life before the beginning of the Naruto series. As a disclaimer, I've never watched Naruto. In fact, I have a great loathing for about 95% of people in the world who like Naruto. But, as usual, one can find characters in a series that one really identifies with...even if they are a bit evil.

'Beginnings' was meant to be the portion of Orochimaru's life when he lived in Konoha, and was training underneath Sarutobi. I figured the root of one's evil would have to begin in childhood...little experiments here and there, finding out what you can do...
What -is- an orochimaru, after all, if not the son of the great snake Orochi? He probably had all sorts of lovely talents. Unless, of course, the name means nothing. Who knows. Its fun to think on.
Anyhow.
The dialogue in my head went something like this:

Sarutobi: "Orochimaru, did you have anything to do with this?"
Orochimaru: "Of course not, Sarutobi." *eyes another bunny to experiment on later*
Bunny: "...take one step closer and I'll bite your ankles off."

But of course, you're welcome to make up your own dialogue. Post it, by all means.
