“Does this seem sudden to you?” Keole breathes deeply, taking a step towards the black mare, brushing her muzzle all too close to Kalda’s ear.
Kalda’s mind stutters to a halt as the assassin’s breath tickles the small hairs lining her left ear. With a an almost foal-like noise, Kalda hastily pulls back from the hypnotizing mare. She was on a quest, goddammit! An important quest that she had to pay attention to, instead of fraternizing with her traveling companion! Let alone even developing feelings for this mysterious mare!
‘And what about Freydis? Did you forget about your relationship with her?’ A voice sounded from the back of Kalda’s mind. ‘You had-have something with her!’ Shame and guilt crept up the mares spine and she turned her head away from her current companion, closing her eyes in the process to shake off this unnecessary feeling. It wasn’t a big deal! Kalda told her inner voice, We never verbally said anything about it! It’ll be fine!
‘But will it really?’ Her inner voice demanded as it faded away. Opening her eyes with a breath, Kalda stared at the ground between her and Keole. Gradually, Kalda lifted her eyes to meet green, shining a dim light, and ethereal glitter among the swirls of emerald. Once again, Kalda found herself lost in those eyes, so full of mystery, yet also with attraction. How could she think anything could go wrong when she had those eyes?
“I’m sorry, I thought my motives were obvious from the beginning?” Keole murmured, their muzzles almost touching, whiskers brushing against each other, chasing every negative thought out of the window. Keole’s breath is warm against the cold weather of the swamp and it sends electrical shots through Kalda’s heart, simultaneously calming her and exciting her. Needless to say, it was magical.
“Perhaps you just did not pick up on the subtle flirting…” She chuckles, drawing nearer, lips brushing Kalda’s cheek. With a flush across her face, Kalda struggled to respond, but Keole continues as she circles slowly around Kalda. It was almost as if she was studying her, as if she was a specimen to worship. “Don’t worry, you are still so adorable… and stunning, yes.” Kalda’s mind stutters once again as Keole takes a breath to bite her lip in appreciation of Kalda. It was almost surreal for the black and white mare, to be gazed at in such a way. It was new, but to be honest, Kalda was not complaining in the slightest.
“From the first time I saw you, I found liking in you, that is why I stayed my blade and did not finish my work. I would not do that for just someone, not nearly. So…” Keole comes around to face Kalda head on again, her lips leaning towards Kalda’s own, the emerald eyes sparkling once again. Keole gave Kalda a seductive wink and leaned in ever closer to the black and white lead, causing Kalda’s heart to skip a beat. Her muzzle was so close that their breaths were mixing, lips almost brushing. Kalda closed her eyes in anticipation for the next move that the assassin would make.
“Do you see now? Are you…” Keole’s lips were dangerously close, so close to touching, only a hair away, “Interested?”
Kalda could barely stand it anymore, with a gasping reply, of a barely audible yes, she leaned in and closed the space between them and pressed their lips together.

hey i'm back, with gay horses! it's been ages since i drew kalda and i totally miss her, but i just have a horrible art block rn. like i want to draw, but then when i want to draw, it's only at like 3 am when i'm supposed to be sleeping. ugh. no joke, this whole picture took me at least a whole month to get done. it's bad oh well, i'll just power through it lol
