Description This is a Living root bridge in Mawlynnong 90kms from Shillong, India.. As we can see that roots from these two trees joins together to form a bridge!! Nature at its best!!

is not natural. There are people who care to drive the roots, so that they form those bridges. So much so that some are even paved, albeit crudely.

no dude!! I read a journal that there used to be land before but due to an earthquake in 1897 this crack was formed!! As 90% of both these tree's root are in the land so these trees didn't fall apart but the local ppl maintain it by cleaning the path & not allowing any type of vehicles not even cycles!!!
