I like the circular force spinning beneath her, the reverse of a whirlpool, I suppose, that seems (it's hard to tell) to be propelling her upward. I can't quite discern whether or not she's standing, tip-toe, on the book or levitating above it (not that that matters to me). What really hit me about this piece is that you did not dress her in the raiment of a stereotypical magus. She looks as if she could be anyone (which is implied in the title, that she has learned the craft herself and has not, I'd assume, been an apprentice). All in all, I think that this makes for a pretty good argument on why we should outlaw reading.
