Touya grew up having 2 sisters, an idiot father who is seriously inticed with sushi and his shop, and an elder brother. In the Hirameki household, the siblings constantly bicker over who is going to take over the sushi shop, Touya being the 2nd youngest had to work hard to be at par with his older sister and brother.

Because of the constant arguing with his siblings and constant battles, he was often misleaded to be a delinquent type child.
Touya often was disliked by majority of his male classmates, he came off as cold and hostile to them, not wanting to play or hang out, but would much rather be learning about the ways of sushi making and such. He spent much of his childhood without much proper interaction with his age group, keeping his childlike way of talking despite his appearance.

Although his height makes his actions seem rather... unlikely, he maintains his cold appearance to keep people away from him and asking questions about his behavior. He is very inverted and shy than he actually seems and comes off as a jerk with his rash behavior around women since he doesn't know how to handle them as well as his elder brother thinks he should.
