This is my very first comics cosplay! i did this because i was a special guest at Caracas Comic Con so i decided it was my opportunity to finally do it. I've always loved the x-men and they're my favorite from Marvel, but i never felt i could portray any of the mutants i knew. This was until my cousin (biggest comic fan i've met) suggested me, a couple years ago, i should cosplay this new mutant named pixie because she really looked like me. He sent me a couple images and the resemblance was obvious, she had pink hair like me! and she was also childish looking. Her design was also very interesting. I used pvc stretch for the bodysuit, this fabric is impossible to get in my country so i had to purchase it online. I love working with this fabric and its my favorite, the gauntlets and the boots were made with craft foam. I noticed pixie's design was different in each illustration i found, so i finally decided to take the elements i liked the most from each design and i incoporated them into my cosplay. I loved the big exaggerated accesories so that's how i built them, with a lot of details too. The wings were also from various designs i found, i liked the butterfly shape and the litmus color. I did them with transparent plastic fabric, paper and wire for the structure, the 'veins' were drawn with paint and glitter. I received a lot of help from my friends to finish this cosplay on time, i'm very grateful to each one of them! it was also very comfortable to use my own hair for this cosplay! i hope you like it

¡Este es mi primer cosplay de comics! Lo hice porque fui invitada especial en la Caracas Comic Con, así que decidí que era mi oportunidad de finalmente hacerlo. Siempre he amado a los X-Men y son mis favoritos de Marven, pero nunca sentí que pudiese representar alguna de las mutantes que conocía. Esto fue hasta que mi primo (el mayor fan de comics que conozco) me sugirió, hace un par de años, que hiciera cosplay de esta nueva mutante llamada Pixie porque ella realmente se parecía a mi. Me mandó un par de imágenes y el parecido era obvio, tenía cabello rosado como yo! y también era aniñada. Su diseño también era muy interesante. Utilicé tela de pvc stretch para el traje, esta tela es imposible de conseguir en mi país así que tuve que ordenarla por internet. Amo trabajar con esta tela y es mi favorita, los guantes y las botas fueron hechos con foami. Me dí cuenta que el diseño de Pixie era diferente en cada ilustración que encontraba, así que finalmente decidí tomar los elementos que más me gustaban de cada diseño y los incorporé a mi cosplay. Amo los accesorios grandes y exagerados, así que los construí de esta manera, con muchos detalles también. Las alas también son de varios diseños que conseguí, me gustaron con forma de mariposa y de color tornasol. Las hice con tela transparente de plástico, papel tornasol y alambre para la estructura, las "venas" fueron dibujadas con pintura y escarcha. Recibí mucha ayuda de mis amigos para poder terminar este cosplay a tiempo, estoy muy agradecida con cada uno de ellos! también fue muy cómodo usar mi propio cabello para este cosplay! Espero que les guste.
