Sasori didn't know why, but he kept a firm grip on Sakura since he rescued her to when he jumped through the cave opening. Right there had been a waterfall, and using his deft puppetry skills, had navigated safely away from death. However, he lost control of their direction and was diverted to one of the numerous waterways that split from the main water source. They were quite alone now, lacking violently bright red and sunny golden hair.

Sasori rose to his feet, his pants soaked with water, doing the best to dry himself off. He shook his hair this way and that. It would have to do. Sakura stood up too. "Sasori... do you have water resistant, erm. I guess wood?"

"I did. I haven't applied any in awhile," he bluntly replied.

"Won't you... grow mold? And rot?"

"I can worry about that later. Let's keep going and get the hell out of here."

"Wait!" Sakura called. "Sit." He did. She removed her red vest, squeezing water out of it manually, then removing all remaining water with her medical chakra. "Here, I'll dry you off. Keep the chakra circulating. It's cold when you're wet in places like these." Sasori looked extremely discomforted but allowed Sakura to dry him, knowing he really would grow mold and rot if he didn't dry soon.
