Wow, the style you painted this in is SO cool! Mind if I ask what program you did it in? If it's Photoshop, I totally need to find the brush you used, haha :U Amazing colors and textures!

This is the best advice anyone can give you, look up tutorials, see how other artists work, and if you like it, integrate it into your own way of drawing (Not completely, or your basically stealing a style), but some brushes in art are personal, the best way to make art like this is to experiment with different settings. C: There are also many options for textures that can be added at the end of the picture, especially in Photoshop. Just experiment and you'll find the right brushes for you. C:

This is definitely true, and I actually try to do that quite often! It just so happens that the texture produced on this piece is very similar to something I was trying to achieve recently, so I was wondering if I could at least be pointed in the right direction, haha xP I absolutely respect artists who create their own brushes and want to keep them as personal ones, an I would never try and pry the information out of anyone x)

I'm pretty sure (but not definte, I'm just trying to answer a question, don't grill me), that she uses lots of different shades or opacities of the pencil tool and uses the jitter brush along the edges. The fact that the tatoo/mark/glowy thing stands out so much is because since the rest of the image is darker, and more 'complex' in all the shades, the green stands out a lot more because it is flat, and the contrast is bigger. There is also different shades, and the 'glow' is a brush on very low opacity that highlights the light in eminates. The fact that the glowy thing also follows the fur spikes makes it sink into the image and looks 'real'. It is also beautifully well drawn so that the overall image is a sucsess.

I'm not even sure it was called Jitter, maybe it was crayon or something dusty or something. Oh, man, yesterday brought the number of times I've used paintshop to 3. I'm more used to Gimp, and other programs, so I'm not uneducated, just unused.
