Description
One of the antagonists of the short visual novel project I'm planning.

One of the last human swordsmen capable of fighting against the Enlightened. During the last rebellion, he was consumed with fear and abandoned all his fellow comrades who were eventually all executed. For years, he drowned himself in alcohol to forget about his sins and his terrible betrayal.

All his companions were beheaded before him, and he did not have the guts to kill himself back then even though everything important to him was taken from him: his fiance who became Enlightened and left him - most of the villagers in his village became Enlightened and left him. And now his comrades who fought to their death to restore their country - too - have left him through death.

But he becomes determined to take action one last time. In a suicidal bid to make recompense for his cowardice. Even though he knows there is nothing he can do to change his country anymore.

He awakens a feral wrath hidden within his psyche - and managed to kill an Enlightened Ronin who was sent to single handedly capture one of the last outposts of the Sen'you patriots.

He is extremely reliant on alcohol to numb his senses - which goes to show how emotionally passionate he actually is as he actually easily gets angry and upset and needs to become intoxicated to calm himself. But at the same time, he can also be very sympathetic and kind - though much of that side of him was forcefully erased by the terrible experiences he had gone through.

Despite his somewhat average command of swordplay - of which he subscribes to the school of Eihyou (a school of military swordsmanship which comprises easy to learn moves that are extremely effective and powerful enough) - ever since he killed that one Enlightened ronin, his suicidal disposition makes him learn and adapt to dangerous situations insanely quickly - making him an unexpectedly dangerous opponent especially when he is cornered.
